HOW TO GET TO THE TRIATHLON VILLAGE?
The Triathlon Village will be located on the Quai Gustave Ador in Geneva, September 17th-19th.
You have different options to get here:
• Public Transports in Geneva
Geneva is easily accessible by public transports with the transports publics genevois (tpg). The stops Merle-Aubigné (lines 2, 6, E et G), Parc et Plage des Eaux-vives (lines 2 et 6) are located near to the Triathlon Village.
• Travel by train
The main Geneva Cornavin Railway Station is two kilometres away from the Triathlon Village and many train stops in Geneva. It is served by bus 6 in 20 minutes.
• Travel by plane
The Geneva international airport is very close to the city centre at only 5 km. A direct rail connection links the airport to the downtown railway station in only 7 minutes.
• Travel by car
Geneva is accessible by car. Several car parks are located near the Triathlon Village but due to the event some traffic disruption is expected. Please be prepared to travel.
The P+R Genève-Plage and the Parking du Mont-Blanc paying car parks will be accessible.
The important logistical means necessary for the organisation of such a sports event as well as the circulation of triathletes on closed roads have consequences for road users (cars, cyclists, etc.) and we regret this. The organisation will try to limit the disruption as much as possible by offering alternative routes. Nevertheless it is likely that travel will be momentarily disrupted in your area.
