THE LA TOUR GENÈVE TRIATHLON PRESENTS ITS 2023 CARBON® ASSESSMENT

Committed since 2021 to a sustainability approach, the La Tour Genève Triathlon has taken significant measures to minimize its environmental impact, and will continue to do so in the years to come. Thanks to the efforts of its participants, those of its partners, and their collective commitments, the La Tour Genève Triathlon presents its carbon footprint ® .

As an organizer, our commitment has focused on different major areas of development, reflecting our constant desire to innovate for a reduced environmental impact.

Recruitment of participants 🏊🏻 🚴🏻 🏃🏻

The La Tour Genève Triathlon has decided to no longer undertake initiatives aimed at attracting participants from abroad, outside neighboring countries, focusing particularly on countries accessible only via low-emission means of transport. This orientation aims to minimize the carbon footprint linked to travel, thus promoting the participation of local people and supporting the development of the community.

Accessibility via transport 🚊 🚲

The organization highlights the accessibility of our event by public transport, which is well developed in the canton of Geneva, and more generally in Switzerland. This approach aims to encourage the use of low-carbon travel modes, thus contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions generated by travel related to our triathlon.

Participating gifts 🎁

When it comes to participating gifts, the focus is on Swiss products from local producers, often in the form of everyday products. The participants themselves are also involved thanks to personal choices: receiving a medal or not, making a donation via a carbon calculator when registering, etc.

Partnerships and local actors 🤝

The La Tour Genève Triathlon strengthens its links with local players by promoting partnerships with Geneva companies. These collaborations support the local economic fabric and also strengthen our attachment to the community.
