Support those forced to flee today – wherever they are in the world! Today, more than 110 million people around the world have been forcibly displaced due to persecution, conflict, violence or human rights violations. Nearly half of them are children. They need to be protected.
UNHCR, the United Nations refugee agency, protects and assists people forced to flee. Beyond emergency assistance, we also strive to provide refugees with durable solutions for a better future.
In the first 72 hours of an emergency, we can send essential supplies for 600,000 people and have a team of experts on the ground to help them.
We provide essential goods such as tents, blankets, sleeping bags, hygiene products, cooking utensils, light and heat. We ensure that refugees have access to clean water and basic healthcare, as well as hygiene and protection measures to prevent the spread of disease in often overcrowded environments.
We provide legal and physical protection to people on the run, particularly those with special needs (women, children, people with disabilities and the elderly). We ensure that children in refugee camps can go to school and play safely. Our goal is to give them hope for a better future. Together we can make a difference . With your support, we can offer refugees what we would want for ourselves and our loved ones. Protection against dangers. A shelter. Food. Some water. Covers. Medical supplies. The possibility of going to school and the hope of a better tomorrow.
