Race info

Take on the Short Distance triathlon featuring 500m of swimming, 20 KM of cycling and 5 KM of running in the stunning city of distance.

Why race the Short Distance?

A fast race for experienced triathletes and a great challenge for those looking to test out a new sport.

The Short race is open to relay teams. Two or three team members, three sports, one race. Take part with your training partners, friends, colleagues or family to complete your first Triathlon as a team.

Start waves

The start times are made according to waves. You will know your wave thanks to the colour of your swimming cap received in the triahtlete’s pack:

  • Wave 1 (Red cap) : 4:30pm
  • Wave 2 (Blue cap) : 4:33pm
  • Wave 3 (Grey cap) : 4:36pm (Relay start wave)
  • Wave 4 (White cap) : 4:39pm

Transition zone

  • Transition zone opening: 2:20pm - 4:15pm
  • Bikes and kit pick up: 6:45pm - 8:00pm

Starting from the new beach of Eaux-Vives, you will swim one lap of 500m.

BIKE - 20KM, 2 LAPS

The 2-loop, 20 KM bike course starts in the transition zone where you will head up the city center of Geneva and turn back in front of the beach of Eaux-Vives.

Then you will head along the flat towards Vesenaz where a short false flat uphill awaits into the turnaround point. The route then brings you back along the lake to reach transition.

Global : 150m D+ / 150m D-

RUN - 5KM, 1 LAP

The 5 KM course is a 2-loop route along the lake. A rather fast circuit with a view of the Jet d’Eau for half the distance.
