The 35th edition of the La Tour Genève Triathlon concluded this Sunday in a friendly, summery atmosphere, confirming Geneva's key position on the triathlon scene. More than 4,600 participants took part in the seven formats offered – from Half to Discovery, including Standard, Short, Junior, and, for the first time, the Youth League – achieving outstanding athletic and individual performances.
High-level performances at the foot of the Jet d'Eau
The Half format (1.9 km / 90 km / 21 km) lived up to expectations with a thrilling race. In the men's race, Patrick COMETTA (CH) won in 3:58:24 after a solid bike leg, resisting the comeback of Thomas HUWILER (CH) who took 2nd place in the final meters, and Romain AYMON (CH) who completed the podium. In the women's race, Karen SCHULTHEISS (CH) won the event in 4:40:36 thanks to a controlled race from start to finish.
In the Standard (1.5 km / 40 km / 10 km) , Jurriaan SCHURING set a new record in 1:55:17 , while Nathalie DE BEUKELAER (Triathlon Club Genève) won in the women's race in 2:20:06.
The Short (500 m / 20 km / 5 km) , always very popular, was won by the Swiss Thibaud DÉCURNEX (56:44) and the English Ellie HUME (1:08:33) . In the Discovery , an ideal format for beginners, Clara PICHON (38:43) and Luca MAUCCI (29:55) won.
Growing and inspiring female participation

Female participation reached a new milestone this year, with a notable increase across all formats. Amidst a strong sporting landscape, the female triathletes captured the attention and enthralled the Geneva crowd throughout the weekend.
Redesigned departures and arrivals for an improved experience
The 2025 edition innovated with redesigned start and finish areas:
Departure from Eaux-Vives beach , with the spectacular Australian exit
Arrival on the quays, facing the Jet d'Eau , offering an immersive setting for the public and better fluidity for the athletes, without modifying the main route.
Youth League: the next generation of Swiss triathlon stars in the spotlight
The La Tour Genève Triathlon hosted a stage of the Youth League (Swiss Triathlon) for young people aged 14 to 17 in a dynamic format (500m swim, 10km bike ride, 2.5km run). These young talents demonstrated their commitment and promising level, confirming the event's role in supporting the next generation of Swiss triathlon athletes.
A united and collective event
The 2025 edition raised CHF 6,000 for Switzerland for UNHCR thanks to donations from participants, proving that sport and solidarity can move forward together.
The success of this edition is based on the commitment of more than 550 volunteers and the unwavering support of our partners, the City of Geneva, the Canton of Geneva and the municipalities crossed, whom we warmly thank.
See you in 2026!
The 36th edition will be held on July 4 and 5, 2026.
